In August we had our vacation to Edisto Beach with the Taylors and Davises. We had a great time sharing our vacation time with all of them. The kids loved playing together, and when we came home Lawson continued to think he should see Sophie each day for a while! Those 2 are hilarious together. You can see in the pics that they love, love each other. Some of the fun things they did were: playing inside of a "tent", "cooking", and building sandcastles. We all also took a trip crabbing, which was also fun! Altogether, a great vacation in Edisto!!

Great Wolf Lodge

The last weekend in July we took the boys to the great wolf lodge in Charlotte. Wow! What a great place. They have a huge indoor waterpark perfect for little ones but also with things that scared me! Lawson and Landon loved the kiddie area. We took Lawson on the smallest big slide that he qualified for and he was not a fan. I waited for him at the bottom, and bless his heart, he got turned around on the slide and came out looking terrified! They also had storytime in the lobby twice a day told by the animals. On the floor we were on was an awesome Magic Quest that we didn't get time to do but will be a must-do as our boys get older. We only stayed one night but agreed that we'd go back for a longer stay one day.
For the record, the boys are 7 months and 42 months on this trip.

July 4

Here are some pics I added of July 3rd on the lake. Thanks Lauren, I stole these from your blog! While on a boatride on the 3rd, we stopped by and enjoyed some time with the Taylor clan! Lawson and Sophie have such a good time together, and entertain us too! Look at them just sneering at one another and having a great time!






Here's a pic of the boys on the 4th. That day we spent the day at home in the pool. We did a lake day with barbecue on saturday the 3rd. We had a great time, but somehow mom forgot the camera that day! Both of our boys sack out on the boat, so we could ride all afternoon and they sleep peacefully!

As Landon turns 6 months old we had our first family pictures made. Amazingly, the session went well and we were all still happy leaving the studio! Landon is 6 months old here, and happy as a clam! Lawson is 3 1/2 here. They are both 2 very special boys, and we are lucky parents to have them both!!

Landon's Baptism and Father's Day

Due to scheduling difficulties and the fact that Landon was about to outgrow our baptism gown, we baptized him on Father's Day. Since our friends would all be celebrating with their families that day, we only had our immediate family. It was simple, but still a special day. We had a breakfast after the service at our house to celebrate father's day and Landon's special day. I didn't get to focus on taking pics afterward like I would've liked since we were hosting at our house! A great reason to do things like this in other places!!!

Early June

I'm struggling, but doing my best to document Landon's first year like I did for Lawson. It is simply FLYING by!! At this point he was starting to sit, but wobbly. He didn't perfect sitting until July, but still has random falls backward. What has also been striking this summer is the way taht my 2 are playing together. Lawson brings toys to him and will say, "Hey, buddy, you want that?" Another favorite line is, "Hey, buddy, we're going to(insert here whatever we are planning that day). I love it, I will be the luckiesst mom in town if Lawson continues to be as good of a big brother as he is now!!
