Christmas morning

Look what Santa brought!
Of course, he had to take Belle on a ride!

Hey Belle, can we both fit in this trailer? You've got to love that morning hair, there was no way I was combing it down on Christmas morning, I think it just adds to the effect!

Not letting go of the sucker from his stocking while opening his gifts!

Mama and her BIG BOY!

He loves this playhouse from Pop and Honey! The look on his face here is just a classic!

On Christmas morning, Lawson awoke to many suprises from Santa Clause. Then, he opened presents from us, and my parents. After the Corley gift exchange, we had breakfast with my family, the Mathises, and my Aunt Karen.

Christmas Eve

Needs to check out everyone's christmas tree!
A favorite new toy!

Kissing the snowglobe? Don't know where he got this idea!

On Christmas Eve, we attended our traditional gatherings, one with Steven's family, one with my mom's side of the family. Lawson had a great time at both, since of course, he got gifts at both. He was particularly thrilled with Steven's cousin's snow globe. For some reason he wanted to kiss it over and over. Too cute!

Aunt Mel's graduation

Here's our graduate! Doesn't she look successful?

Hmmm... what will aunt Mel do now?

She shook President Barker's hand, now she's an official alumni!

See the shiny new nursing pin?

Of course he had to clown around a little during the ceremony!

Getting her pin. She's a nurse now!

Thursday, we attended some very important events in Clemson. Aunt Mel received her nursing pin and graduated from the best university ever! We are so proud of her! Even Lawson behaved through both ceremonies(I think he knew what a big day it was!). He did babble throught the pinning, but I'm sure everyone around us appreciated that you just don't tell Lawson to stop talking, when he doesn't talk enough anyway!

Nutcracker

Lawson with the "chinese dancers"
Addie with the "chinese dancers"

We took them backstage where they seemed to love the fake fireplace!

All of us at our house- you know someone's eyes had to be closed!

Playing with their new gifts together

Yes, they matched perfectly. Aren't they cute?

Lawson had to show off his ears!

Last sunday, Erica and I took Addie and Lawson to see the nutcracker. They both did amazingly well. Poor Addie just got scared of some of the loud noises and had to make a couple of exits, but overall, great for their ages! Beforehand, we let them give each other their presents. They are so cute together, it's ridiculous!

Lawson's visit with Santa

It's been a couple of weeks since we went to see Santa, but I'm just now making the post. Lawson did great! He was a little unsure, but Santa seemed to grow on him.

Making Christmas cookies

Mom had to help him get all the sprinkles off!
Loved the icing!

Of course, he had to eat the first one!

Lawson and "Honey" cutting out the dough

On Monday, Lawson helped to make some christmas cookies. He helped in each step. Rolling the dough, cutting them out, icing and sprinkles. He had a great time!

Parade of Lights

Last sunday, we took Lawson to the West Columbia parade of lights. He watched intently the whole time, and enjoyed the candy that they all threw as well.

Decking our halls

Over the weekend, Lawson helped with our decorations on the house, also. You see what he does when I say "smile!" Ha! These perfectly show his little personality!

Our tree

Checking it out! I think this one is too cute!
Helping add the ornaments

Cutting it down!

I want this one!

Last night, we took Lawson to a tree farm to cut down our own Christmas tree. Despite all of the inconveniences, we still think there's something special about a real tree. Instead of the usual frasier firs(that don't grow here), we got a leyland cypress this year so that we could cut one. Lawson had a great time picking the ones he liked and running around the trees playing hide and seek.
